The "Grinding Paste"
Problem
Conventional oil-based lubricants are inherently "wet." As you ride, they attract road grit, dust, and sand. This creates a highly abrasive mixture—a literal grinding paste.
This paste works its way into the internal rollers and pins of your chain, wearing them down from the inside out. This is what mechanics call "chain stretch," though the metal doesn't actually stretch; the parts are simply being eaten away.
