Bike Repair and Servicing
We specialise in Bike Repair and Servicing in the Ealing area. Whether you have a cheap shopping bike or full carbon road bike, we believe you should have a bike that rides well and does what it is meant to do without problems. Whatever level of equipment your bike has, it should ride smoothly. It should change gears without problems and stop well when required. We offer a range of services, from a minor 'MOT' style tune up to the 'VIP' service. This is a complete strip down and rebuild of the bike in order to ensure that your ride is smooth and without any of those annoying creaks and grinding noises that many people learn to live with. Our philosophy is not to let any bike out of our hands that we wouldn't personally feel happy to ride and race on.
Servicing Packages

Basic check of all tyres, brakes, gears etc to ensure bicycle is safe
Basic wipe clean of entire bicycle
Check all bolts are properly torqued
Clean brake pads and braking surfaces
Adjust brakes to ensure good braking
Adjust gears to ensure crisp shifting without rubbing
Chain checked for wear, wiped and lubricated
All cables removed, checked and lubricated.
Chain cleaned, checked and lubricated
Seatpost removed, cleaned and re-greased
Pedals removed and re-greased
Derailer (front and rear) checked and lubricated
Headset checked for free play and adjusted if necessary
Bottom bracket checked for free play and adjusted if necessary
Full Valet cleaning of the bicycle, to make it look like new!
Wheels checked and trued if needed
Wheel bearings checked and lubricated or replaced as needed
Headset dissasembled, bearings checked and replaced if necessary
Bottom bracket disassembled, bearings checked and replaced if necessary
Pedals removed, bearings checked and re-fitted

Puncture Repair:
Puncture Repair price includes removing the wheel, replacing the inner tube with a new one and replacing the wheel.
A repair with a budget inner tube is £15 per wheel.
A repair with a premium branded inner tube is £20 per wheel.
Inner tube stock is dependent on availability so we may not have stock of budget and premium in all sizes.
Tyre Fitting:
Clinchers (Standard Tyres): Tyre fitting for regular tubed clincher tyres is £5 per tyre*
*plus the cost of a tube (if needed)
Tubeless: Tubeless tyre fitting can be a tricky business, often needing a compressor. It can also be messy with sealant potentially going everywhere! Leave it to us and get your tubeless tyres fitted for £10 per tyre*
Tubeless Rim Tape: We can tape your tubeless compatible rim for £10 per wheel, including the cost of the tape.
* tubeless tyre fitting does not include any tubeless tape required. Sealant can also be provided for £5 per wheel, or we can use your preferred brand if you supply it.
Chain Replacement:
Replace chain with new, adjust to optimal length and fit with quick link or permanent pin fitting - £10 plus cost of chain
Cassette Replacement:
Remove old cassette and replace with new, ensure that all gears shift perfectly* - £10 plus cost of cassette
*it is recommended to change the chain and cassette at the same time to prevent the chain slipping. Both chain and cassette can be changed for a discounted rate of £15.
Cable Replacement:
Replacement of single cable - £5-10 plus cost of cable, depending on bike setup.
Replacement of all brake and gear cables with new - £20-30 plus cost of cables
Bar Tape Replacement:
Replacement of bar tape with new - £15 plus cost of bar tape
Wheel Truing:
Wheel checked and trued to basic level - £10 per wheel
Wheel checked and trued to high tolerance (increased reliability) - £20 per wheel
Additional charges may be applied for any spokes that need to be replaced, wheels with internal nipples or other unusual features.
Wheel Building:
Wheel Build (Basic) - £40 per wheel plus cost of parts
Wheel Build (Advanced) - £60 per wheel plus cost of parts
- Basic wheel build will be built to acceptable tolerances
- Advanced wheel build will be built to similar tolerances, each spoke will be checked with a spoke tension meter and a map of the wheel tension will be supplied with the wheel. Spoke tension tolerance will be within 10%. This type of build is recommended for low spoke count/high spec wheels in order to maximise longevity of the spokes.
Groupset Upgrade or Replacement:
Groupset (Levers, Brakes, Gears, Cables, Derailers, Chain, Bottom Bracket) replaced with new, adjusted to perfect function - £149 plus cost of parts
Other Bike Repair Work:
All other repairs and miscellaneous work taken on at a rate of £15 for 15 minutes
Bike Valet:
Full clean of the bike; including degreasing chain, cassette and chainrings, followed by a full wash and polish of the rest of the bike. Gets your bike looking like new! This service is included with the TLC and VIP Services. Normal Cost - £25 per bike, £20 per bike as an add-on to other work.
Pickup/Dropoff Service:
Pickup and dropoff are charged at a nominal £10 each, assuming an average distance from Ealing. Longer/shorter distances may be charged differently, please enquire for details.
